Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), formerly known as Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW), was established in 1961 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the premier production units of Indian Railways.
BLW now manufactures high-power electric locomotives like WAP-7 and WAG-9, which are vital for freight and passenger transport across India.
